The new welder is used to quickly join plastic parts with a strong, permanent bond. It is used to seal the cases of the company's rugged, encapsulated BEAR Power Supply products. It can also be used for the company's custom power supplies. "Ultrasonic welding creates plastic housings that are impervious to dust, moisture and other contaminants, with a seal that won't fail over time or under abuse," said Michael Allen, president of BEAR Power Supplies.
