Mounting and Emissions Considerations (BP Series)
Bear Power Supplies BP Series Power Supplies are available in three configurations:
- PCB-mountable with mini-IEC input connectors
- PCB-mountable industry standard packages with 3-pin input
Figure 1 shows the recommended connection setup for PCB-mountable BP Series power supplies with mini-IEC input connectors. Using this connection scheme, the BP Series power supply supply measures well below the maximum limits for conducted emissions.
Figure 2 shows measured conducted emissions for the two-pin IEC input power supply (BP2).
Figure 3 shows measured conducted emissions for the three-pin IEC input power supply (BP3).
Similar results can be achieved with the industry standard package (BP1) and the chassis-mountable units (BP4, BP5 and BP6). We recommend that the earth ground wire be tied to one of the secondary outputs.
